  • they havent toured there in so long most people forgot they exist. it happens. you cant build and maintain a following without touring.
  • MrSmith - I had that same conversation with someone this morning. I bought my max 2 for Indy and Columbus but I can't do more than that. When you don't show up for 7-10 years in a location, and money is tight, you risk losing your fan base in that region. I have to think that a drought will have a big impact. They won't lose me though. I'm rabid.

  • 2006 was the last time. I've had to travel to DC and Chicago to get the chance to see them since.

    2. much smaller markets.
    3. unemployment is highest since the great depression
    4. Not as many ten club members in those states
    5. i could go on and on but i hope this helps you comprehend why shows haven't sold out

I live within a few hours driving distance of a few major markets - Philly, NYC, Baltimore, Wash DC, and even Pittsburgh is doable. The good thing is that most bands I like will have shows that I can get to fairly easy. The downside is that there is always high demand for these shows. Can't have one without the other.

    :!: Very true.

They have found their niche areas.

Sadly, for those of us living hours away, they can pick and choose where they want to play.

I wish that wasn't the case, but until they come closer it appears the PissBottle's will stay home. :(

I kinda want to start some bitching threads on why there isn't any Pearl Jam show's east of Toronto, but I'm not sure now, what with the mid west not selling out & all. :|

So so tired of this stupid discussion year after year tour after tour. Have you ever seen a band divide it's fanbase along geographic lines more than Pearl Jam?

I guess Chicago doesn't count as the midwest? I was at both sold out shows Aug. of 09. I am travelling to Indy and Cleveland for this tour. Can't afford to do much more.

If you're that upset about it, buy some tickets for some of these shows and help try to complete the sellout.

Why would I do that? Im going to NYC 1 and 2 Boston 1 and Hartford..if I had more money I would go to Cleveland and Columbus maybe Buffalo...I dont lve in the midwest but there has been enough bitching these past years about the band passing up regions..well...if you want them to continue to come back they need to see interest..I could care less where they play..I get to see them cause Im on the east coast
