I guess you and I never really stood a chance.
I'm only now realizing I still have unresolved issues
with the one that came and went before you.

I can't believe it lasted as long as it did.
I can't believe you tried for that long.
That was good of you.
Thank you.

This don't mean that I didn't love you with all of my heart and soul, I did.
I guess I still do, and always will.
It just turns out that the love you gave me was the perfect size Band-Aid for a pretty deep wound.

Now that you are gone, and that Band-Aid has been ripped away,
I have two wounds of equal significance to deal with at the same time.

I fear I may just bleed out.

Hello wolf, its 7pm and I'm just now getting to read the poems for today. Thank you for sharing. Through your poems I'm starting to get a picture of what your feeling and going thru. I hope they are only words you write on paper - but I'm not so sure.
