Wasn't expecting him to praise mike and the band like that. I think I actually enjoyed that little thing more than SNL.

    i was about to go to sleep because i have school tomorrow morning but i'm so happy i didnt! :D:D:D mikey is so cute!

    but no jimmy fallon is still pretty weak. pretty cool of him to say that about pearl jam and do that little mini-interview thing though

    Yeah they always praise their guests but you can tell when they really respect the person and if they actually like them, notice how no one mentioned backspacer but jimmy commented on how great it was, which most likely means he has listened to it and likes it.

    Jimmy definitely meant that. Obviously it was a plug but you could tell he was being serious.

    The jam out of the credits was pretty cool. I know that's the song they play every night, but Mike really added some color to it.

    The roots made it decent because theyre the roots, if that guy would have been solo it would have been ugly, the roots could make toby keith sound good.

    Fallon's a legit fan. I saw the show in October when there was a comedian on who actually did a Yellow Ledbetter joke and at the end of the show when he does his run through the crowd he shook my hand and commented on my pearl jam shirt.

    that was pretty fun to watch when they have the roots backing up. I kinda laughed inside when I saw that mike got off the stage for the rap song.

    Mike tore it up at the end though. And yes this was cooler to watch than SNL.

    Clueless, do some research on The Roots. They arent quite the band they used to be but Black Thought is one of raps best MCs ever. There was a time when I put The Roots up with Pearl Jam as one of my top three fav live acts.

    I'll still put them up there. The Roots will absolutely blow your mind live... they're fantastic.

    And I think some people around here equate all rap/hip-hop with the ringtone rappers they see on MTV. There's TONS of great artists out there, new and old.
