Mailman totally left my Philly poster in the rain

So, I ordered the Philly posters that I didn't get at the show and the mailman left 10/31 out in the rain! I mean, there's not many other options to leave packages, I get it, but he could've opened my screen door and placed it against my door, but he left if lying down on my steps. Naturally, it's soaking wet.

Any suggestions as to how to save it? It's mostly wet around the outside white trim.

Incidentally, isn't it weird that I ordered the Philly posters and the last show's poster came first? I will never figure out TenClub shipping habits.
Also, no DEEP here in NJ today.

for wet book, the solution is to put them in the freezer... not sure it would work for a poster, but it may be worth a try of it is your last shot... http://orpheus.ucsd.edu/preservation/howdry.html

In July 2007 Densmore said that he would not rejoin The Doors unless it was fronted by Eddie Vedder. Densmore says, "I play with Jim. If there's someone of that level, OK. I'm not gonna join them with Ian. That's not to diss Ian, he's a good singer - but he's no Jim Morrison. Eddie Vedder? My God, there's a singer."

whenever I'm expecting a package I'm always worried about the weather because I don't have much room for packages either...so far when I've got stuff when it's raining/cloudy the mailman has either put it in a plastic bag and left it on the step or put it inside the screen door

I would so call up the your local postal service in your area & complain. If it was raining, why would he just leave it lying down on your steps when you had a screen door. And if you had a screen door, wouldn't they leave a note they couldn't open it so you could pick up your poster tube @ your nearest postal depot? If it rains or snow's & if something is bigger then my mailbox & the screen door is not working, they leave a postal service invoice/note to pick it up the following day. He/she probably drove by, not wanting to get wet & threw it on your steps or something.
  • for future reference, make sure all things shipped to you that don't fit in your mailbox get sent to you at work.

I wouldnt complain to the mailmans boss-pissing off your mail man could be worse than pissing off a chef

but I would mention it to his/her face, or drop a note in the mail box

I would. And when you do, make it that you are calling from a rotary phone @ a diner or something & use a fake name on the street that the mailman in that street is playing games. That he/she needs to be monitored cause they can't mail shit! Next time they pull a stunt like that, take it to Better Business Bureau or something!
