MGMT apologizes for new single

I think that's kind of weak. As an artist, you should stand by your work. Fuck it if people bitch about not liking it. Regardless, it tells where you are in your career.

Apologizing because it's not as mainstream as people expected and caused negative feedback. Sounds to me like they're not ready to be full-fledged musicians if they're ready to apologize for a song that people respond to negatively.

    I haven't heard that single, but reading that article you posted, it sounds like a marketing move to try to save the sales of the new album - something like, guys don't worry, the rest of the album is not as weird as that single, or something to that effect.

    I am 95% sure that a member of PJ somewhat apologized for No Code back in the late 90's. Wasn't Ed nor Matt or Jack, so either Mike, Stone or Jeff. I thought that was very weird

    I kinda dig this new single. Mediocre like most of the stuff out there, but not bad.

    Still though, don't apologize for your art.

    The new song is kinda wierd. I sorta like it but I really can't say. It's very random and psychadelic but doesn't have any hooks like their hits.

    Oh btw, this remix of electric feel is just DOPE.

    Apologizing for your work is a pretty dumbass move. Who's going to support their music they don't even support it?
