Question about selling Ten Club tickets

I just wanted to get some clarity on selling Ten Club tickets. My friend and I are both fan club members and tomorrow we both plan on trying to purchase tickets to the May 21st MSG show. We figured that 2 of us trying would better our odds at getting at least one pair of tickets. There is the possibility of us both getting tickets which would leave us with an extra pair. Now I thought the policy was that you can't make a profit... in other words, you have to sell them at face value. That was what we intended on doing if we both ended up being successful. Is this still ok?

When reading the policies for KC and St. Louis today, I thought it said no resale or you could have your membership revoked. I didn't see a mention of selling them at face value. Just want some clarity.

why dont you guys communicate and not buy a pair if the other person already got a pair?

you've got 10 minutes to complete the transaction...should be enought time to contact the friend to see who scored, if you scored.

  • I know during the Philly Shows, there were several I have/I want threads. The only time it was frowned upon when someone asked more than face. So, with that being said..If you sell for face or less, I think you are ok. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I'll be at work while my girlfriend is trying to order them using my account. I can have her try calling my friend if she succeeds, but I'm just saying there's a small possibility that we might be finalizing the sale at/around the same time. We're not going to try to spin it for a profit... I just wanted to double-check the policy. If the madness that people are predicting does indeed happen for NYC, it may be a moot point. We may both be unsuccessful.

This is a good point... me having to work tomorrow complicates things for me. I'm having to leave things up to my girlfriend to try to place the order. I'll leave my friend's info so they can be in contact periodically during the process.

For the Kansas City show today, there were a couple times during the checkout that my page froze. The tickets were still in my cart when I finally got back to that page, but I was initially freaking out because I was so close before things froze. Fortunately, we all had plenty of time to order for today's shows. NYC will probably be 10X crazier (if not more).

although technically it is against 10C rules ... i haven't heard anyone being busted for this but this is how i see it ... you are better off both trying for tickets - which would also give you two chances at the lottery ... if you secure tickets ... offer them up here at face to 10C members that were shut out ... keep the best seats for yourself and sell the other set ...

now, i know a bunch of us are trying to get tickets for the same shows tomorrow ... and the more people that are trying the harder it will be for all of us ... but despite what the email said i know for sure there are gonna be people with multiple browser windows open ... it's every person for themselves ... so, the least you could do is if you do get two sets ... offer them up here ...

Indeed. I'm sure selling for EXACTLY WHAT YOU PAID is ok. Selling for as little as one penny over is not ok.

Keep in mind that you will not see your tickets until day of show, so that could complicate things.

    Now... technically..

Say your ticket is $75 per person. I suppose you could be paid back $75 plus a few beers and no one would ever find out...

Hell, if you re-sold for $100, you do take your chances... I'm not giving you advice either way, just saying that if you did it on the down low, would they ever find out? Once again... not telling you anything either way.

I think if you just sell them to break even you should be OK... the sales on ebay and brokers are what really seem to get people steamed around here. I know plenty of people post have extra/need extra threads in here as well.

this was under the ticket rules

Reselling Ten Club tickets for above face value will result in the revocation of all future ticket privileges.
