Top 12 Pearl Jam for uninitiated!!!!!???

Ive been listening to Pearl Jam all day, everyday, for the past week as Ive moved in to a new place and have been doing it up!!! I have all albums, singles, bootlegs etc and just had them on random as i worked!!! A friend has been helping and he really isnt a big PJ fan (still thinks that they havent released anything since Better Man) so i thought id put together a 12 track cd of MY FAVOURITES to give to him....as i was choosing the songs it got me thinking that there is such a widespread scale of music and 12 songs is gonna be tough but heres what he got from me....im interested to hear how some of you guys interpret PJ in just 12 songs....As im sure is the case with a lot of you guys, this band is my favourite, my ultimate inspiration and every song means something to me...

5. Comotose
6. Smile
7. Thumbing My Way
8. Come Back
9. Brain of J
10. Leash
11. Go
12. Black (Still My Favourite Song Ever!!)

    ok wont be 12 but how about 2 songs each from all studio efforts including lost dogs.
    or copy your fav. boot.should just about cover it.

    I love the list except 7 & 8 just kinda don't fit when it comes to new-found-fan conversions (that's just my stupid opinion though...)

    thanks! this gives me a great idea on how to convert my 18yo brother into a Jammer :D

    Great list of songs, don't get me wrong. How about replacing Smile with Evenflow, or Leash with rearviewmirror. Just suggestions of course, in my opinoin, Brain of J or come back don't define the band or really grab a hold of you. Great choice with Nothingman and Thumbing my way. Probably my two favorite PJ songs at the moment.

    Yeah theyre 2 of my alltime favs....Hey just thinking...do you have the bootleg from Palaisozaki, Torino, Italy 2006??? It was the show where they did they whole PEARL JAM (avocado) album in order...listen to Come Back on it...incredible version...passion beyond belief!! Although that is just my opinion!!!!!

    Man you gotta listen to this show...its one of the best bootlegs of the whole bunch...Italian crowds are amazing...The band reacted to that. Amazing show.
