Are all of the pre-sale tickets usually bought up in a matter of minutes, hours, or days, or does it depend on the show? I just have no idea what kind of numbers(in tickets) go on sale.

    That's a mixed answer.

I'd say for most of these venues, all of the people who want tickets will probably exceed the number of tickets available during presale. If their site worked well, they would probably sell out in seconds or minutes. But their site is known for crashing prior to getting to pay for the tickets, so tickets may go into shopping carts, then dumped out while trying to pay... and so on. So it may take hours because of the high likelyhood of the site locking-up, but if the site worked, cities like Boston and NY would sell out immediately. The other venues will likely have a little breathing room.

10% - 20% of a venue is allowed for sale thru the band - though the band once in a while can work out an exception for more.
ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you. :)

Yes! So that means the Civic Center has a chance to not sell out immediately!

I would say that the only ones that won't sell out in a matter of minutes are St. Louis, KC and possibly Columbus. Everything else will be gone very quickly.

The web site is incapable of handling all the ticket traffic, so it will take hours, not minutes.

Also don't give up on tickets even if it says sold out. For philly 3 I got sold out 3 times and kept trying and got tickets after bout 30 minutes of the pre sale time. Never ever up. MSG pre sale is gonna crash this website like no tomorrow and this 10 minute cart rule doesn't help.
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
