Hey everyone,
I need your opinion. Should I buy 10c tix for MSG 1? My number is 42290X. My seats were crappy for Philly IV and want good seats in my favorite place. What should I do? I think I'm going w/ ticket broker or gp sale or stubhub.

Ticket brokers will not have the KICK ASS seats....The 10club will have them...

You may get lucky through ticketmaster...You may not....Though the day before the show, Ticketmaster will most likely release some tickets, that will be close to the stage. But that is a chance you would have to take.

Personally, I would just buy the tickets throught the 10club, and go have a great time.

Philly was all 10c for the most part

You had bad seats at Philly 4 because 10c had a lot more seats then normal. At MSG if you get tickets you will have much better seats then you had a Philly. Also, there is always the chance you could win the lottery with your 10c , no chance of that if you dont buy 10c.

Where will these kick ass seats be? On the floor? Close to the stage? Where?

Define 'crappy.'. My number is 405xxx and I've always been happy with my seats. They were great for Philly II. (Even better for Philly III, but that was thanks to the lottery-- 10C thank you thank you thank you !). My seats were also what I considered quite good at MSG in 2008. I guess it depends on your standards. If you need to be in the 100s or better, I guess your only chance thru 10C is winning the lottery. But I would think that with that number you have a shot at 200s on the side. Of course, there's been plenty of past bitching about alleged inconsistency in what any given number gets you, and as I just posted in another thread, I really don't feel we're in a position to bitch when it comes to what this band (or the fan club) has given us-- so if you see yourself bitching if your hopes or expectations via 10C aren't met, then you should probably go elsewhere.

I did not buy 10club seats for Chicacgo last year....So I went the ticketmaster route.

The seats released through ticketmaster for the general public, were all in the nosebleeds, the 300sec. There was nothing even remotely decent. Then a day or 2 before the show, seats next to the stage were released.

Your 10club seats, no matter how high your number is, will most likely be better than what you get from a broker, or ticketmaster.

  • Hi guys just a few questions on the MSG shows. Will it be all seating at the MSG shows or are the Ten Club tix seating only?

Does anyone know what time the tickets will be on sale GMT for MSG 1?(I may look a bit lazy here but I just want to make sure if I am buying. I know it's going to be difficult enough without arriving late!)

    Thanks in advance.

No - they don't usually do that at their regular shows. There's been exceptions for smaller/club shows, but in general in the U.S. its only seats. (Not that anyone sits in them once they guys come out 8-) )

Pearl jam concerts at msg are always seated. Hasn't been GA at msg for pj since the 98 shows.
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
    Sammi: Wanna just break up?

  • I've said this before. 10c sections are a lot better than non 10c. Just from experience. It's not that the seats were great last time at MSG they were last row on the floor and my number was 354xxx but it's just that the people were totally into it. The 2nd night I was all the way on top cause I couldn't get 10c seats and the audience was very lackadaisical. The last row on the floor wasn't too bad I'm 5'8'' and I could see fine.

My 10C # is 268xxx and I'm thinking about trying for the MSG shows. Is there anyone that went to the 08 MSG shows with a similar number who might have an idea of where my seats would be?

    Thanks

got for it... just as long as you intend to actually go... nothing burns me up more than some douche going in for tickets and not going to the show (i think there was some thread about that just thing last week on here)...not saying thats what you are doing though...dude... just as long as you are in the door... msg really is something special :)

The only thing people with a lower number have over you is just that, a lower number. Each of us has the same statistical chance of getting tickets. If 80% of the people that got tickets were 300,xxx and above your seats will be great. If 80% are 200,xxx and below your seat will not be as good. Regardless of the statistical division if you get a ticket, you are in the house!!

Your seats, with that number, will be terrible. I'm 299xxx and in 2003 I was in the back left corner one night and stright back in the 100's the next night... MSG is THE most popular ticket so... IMHO... you ARE better off doing TM or LN... not sure who's selling for this show because I can;t go and it pisses me off. Good luck!

However, in 2008 with the same number, I was in section 10 floor for night 2 but I sniped a seat in section 55 instead... right before the show started there was a ticket drop and I let my two friends take the section 10's. Back of the floor blows for short people.
