Hoping to get tix to both MSG shows, need some advince from anyone from NYC! Should I try to stay right in Manhattan? Any place better than anywhere else to stay? I've never been to NYC, any advice on somewhere to stay that is clean and close to MSG would be much appreciated. And anyone know of any good record shops?

  • I wanted to travel to MSG for one of the shows, but my wife doesn't want to go for the sheer expense that is hotelling it in Manhattan. I thought "I wonder if any Yankee 10clubbers would put us up?"

when we went last year we rented an apartment from someone for about $150 a few minutes from times square, way cheaper than a hotel.
    try craigslist under vacation rentals.

If you want a studio apt with kitchen etc a spit away from times square, we stay at radio city apartments on 49th & 7th. As a tourist, I've found that to be on the the best hotel finds ever. You'd want to hurry with them though, they book out miles in advance.

Looks like they're already booked for the 20-22 of May. Shame, because it looks nice. Anyone know of anything similar?

You shouldn't come because I really want tickets and want to fight with less people for them. :)

    Kidding. Sort of.
