They have started doing a "pit" or small standing room only in front of the stage at deer creek/vwmc. these are the closest seats in the house. i got lucky and scored a pair for dmb off of ticketmaster (would give them up for pj pit tix in a second) i wonder how these tix are going to work with ten club or the lottery. they are technically closer than rows 1 and 2. any inside info or insight?

Either seated pit, or just everyone there is GA. A small pit is manageable.
ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you. :)

they need full GA on the floor again...ill never be close to the stage otherwise and it will add some energy to the front

case in point: look at europe and then look at our shows....no comparison

Does anyone know how many seats they have under the covered overhang there? We went to see NIN there last summer. Luckily we had seats under the covered area bc i think it rained most of the evening and all the people sitting outside on the hillside got poured on.
Wrigley Field (Chicago) 7/19/13, Pacific Coliseum (Vancouver) 9/25/11, ScottTrade Center (St. Louis) 5/4/10, Sprint Center (KC) 5/3/10, Wachovia Spectrum Arena (Philadelphia) - 10/31/09, Key Arena (Seattle) - 9/22/09, Key Arena (Seattle) - 9/21/09, United Center (Chicago) - 8/24/09, United Center (Chicago) - 8/23/09, Colonial Center (Columbia, SC) - 6/16/08, The Vic Theatre (Chicago) - 8/02/07, Pepsi Center (Denver) - 7/02/06

Actually come to think of it, I just might be a puddle full of detriment.

How big of a venue is this place? I'm thinking of heading 'midwest" for better seating compared to NY.
GA on the floor would be fantastic though.
    I'd def go for that.

The only people who really benefit from GA floor seating are those with really high member #. There's no benefit to those who have low numbers and already sit up front.
  • About 24,000, pavillion is about 6,000 or so. Typical shed- covered pavillion, large hillside lawn. Sometimes they take seats out for a GA pit upfront, sometimes not. I've never seen one for a PJ show there (98,00,03). It's probably the nicest shed in the Midwest- if you've only been to StL, Cincy, Alpine Valley or others you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I can second the fact that it's much, much better than the outdoor place in Cincy! I'd add on that it's also better than Pine Knob outside of Detroit.
