DVR Abuse - "ACL" Erased!

I just noticed today that my roommate erased my precious "ACL" recording.

To make room for?...

More episodes of "The Dog Whisperer," naturally.

I have nothing against the show, but I counted, and there are currently 54 (fifty-four) episodes on the DVR. Each one an hour long. That's (calculates) 54 hours!!

The one hour of PJ I've got on the thing just had to go, I guess. To make room for more tips and tricks on how to become the pack leader.

Damn it all.

You gotta serve up a well-measured payback for that one.

Or 54 smaller, more annoying paybacks.
    Thanks EPOTTSIII!

(Heavy sigh) This sums it up perfectly.

And yes, people watch shit like that. Watching a TV show about training a dog makes them feel like they're doing something about their out-of-control dog.

This kinda nonsense is precisely why my DVR is password protected and I lock my shows so they can't be deleted. (Then again if I didn't have to put up with cheapo jackasses I wouldn't need to lock my receiver.)

It is on my DISH DVR 522 receiver... don't know about yours. Maybe contact your provider or check the DVR's manual?

Seriously, if they can't dedicate an hour a week to catch this program, they're not going to be able to dedicate time for a 54 hour marathon. Delete and remind your roommate to record with the "delete after 14 days" option.
