Priceline "Wins"

Anybody get any good hotel rates from Priceline for the upcoming shows?

If so, it may be cool if you can mention the $bid, area, dates, rating stars & radii, etc.

You'd think that someone smart enough to know the meaning of "radii" wouldn't need to be a bargain hunter, but not the case here!

I always get a bit of a gambling thrill when I bid.

I'm going to try for NY hotels - right now priceline is showing what recent winning bids for different star ratings/areas are which is unusual and helpful. I suspect the prices get better as the dates get closer, but I'm not a huge gambler.
I'll let you know what I get. Used priceline before successfully for San Francisco hotels. Gotten 4 star for $120 there. Also in Chicago - about the same.
For San Diego in Oct the 10C had a great deal for a local hotel. I see they're doing the same for Europe - maybe there will be some deals coming for the East Coast.

  • Thanks for this thread, keep it up with more "wins" I might go this route for my hotels in Cleveland and Buffalo. Hope I can land something around $60. that'd be an unexpected savings.

    Try www.betterbidding.com

It's an awesome site for figuring out Hotwire and Priceline deals. People list what they got, and if you use Hotwire, it pretty much narrows down what hotel you will be staying at before you buy.

Whats shakin' ? You going to any shows?

I've used Betterbidding.com For Cleveland, there are only four 4-star hotels downtown, so using Priceline is pretty safe. I got 2 nights at the Renaissance for $66/night.

  • Joe,

I'm going to both nights in New York. I couldn't miss seeing my 2nd favorite band open up for my favorite band.

Haven't gotten any travel arrangements yet though, so any info is appreciated from the board.

Yeah, I love that site for Hotwire and Priceline.

Great idea for a post. Priceline is the way to go for getting hotels for shows.
