iTunes Top Songs

Not sure how I feel about this. . .

Go to the iTunes store and look at the list of top songs. Read the name of every artist from 1 to 75. It gets pretty nauseating. But, there, like a bright and shiny quarter in a pile of dog shit, at number 76, sits "Just Breathe" by Pearl Jam.

Should I:
A) Be pissed that they are so low behind so much garbage?
or
B) Be glad they broke 100??? 76 on a chart of nothing but pop purchased by 13-24 year olds.

Sorry, haven't gone to itunes & checked out the list but if PJ are one of the 1st pieces of non-teen-pop stuff on the list then that's pretty cool. But yeah, to many tweenies with disposable income or addicted to their ipods eh? ;-)

  • I say since it's rising, lets all go buy a copy and show a grass roots movement like the people of England and Rage and move them to number 1, and its also a great way to show our appreciation for the greatest rock band going and the appreciation of them announcing a tour. Anybody in?

i say it's a good thing the single is still up there. since most of use who have the album are most likely not purchasing it. because there's no unreleased b-side.

maybe at one point it would have been cool for PJ to have a #1 song or album, but now, I'm pretty sure they, nor any of us, give a shit. it's really not the original goal, anyway is it? not for me as a musician it isn't.
