I ordered the 2008 Xmas single just 4 days ago and got it today, but no deep or 2009 xmas single!
10c uses wierd distribution methods when they're doing their mass mailings. I've never really understood how and why.. but whenever theres a mass mailing like a magazine or holiday single, it takes eons to get up here to Canada. If you order something specific off the website it takes a much shorter time to arrive.
it's definately wierd that this mass mailings arrive overseas before Canada, but I've just gotten used to it.
I came home from my dorm to my first Deep mag on Friday. It got to the house, in Mesquite (suburb of Dallas), sometime during the week (my parents don't remember). I like how they included artwork on the envelope too.

It's cause the oversea countries don't have nazi custom mail sorter's like we do. Or maybe cause something is crossing the USA border, the custom's people do a resource analisys on the certain item & how it got here. Once they know what's going on, they let the package through to Canada and off it goes to that small town by the ocean.
Again, I will never understand why o why it takes 6-8 weeks to send and item across the border, on land (not sea or air) from Seattle to Vancouver which is less then a 2 hour drive! That doesn't make any sense at all. What I think there needs to be done is somebody from 10club each weekend drive up to Vancouver, drop all the mail/posters/shirts/cds that are shipping out to all the Canadian Pearl Jam fan's each week. We pay double the shipping cost USA fan's get. Times they get shipping for free while we pay the big bucks. How about add another buck for gass to travel to Vancouver from Seattle. That would take alot of easy & piece of mind of thousands of fan's that still don't understand why it takes so long for something to ship just across the border, by foot! :?

yah but if order something ordinary off the 10c website, it takes the standard 2 weeks to make it over and clear customs.. but these big distribution things take 4-6 weeks.. way longer then any packages from any company take to get to canada. I have noticed in the past that many of them have had Canadian postage.. I've often wondered if they ship them in bulk to Canada and redistribution from somewhere in Canada? hence the delay (And why regular stuff from the website wouldn't go through this process?).
It took so long for a fan club single to show up once, 10c sent me other one directly from seattle (When I was living in victoria)... the replacement showed up in the usual two weeks, the original a short time after.. its not Canadian customs.. anything from the US should take about 2 weeks... 10c mass shipments take much longer.
