Before ticket sales?
I'd like to make an informed decision before MSG on sale.

Probably after they sell as many of the Monday Boston tickets, they'll announce a Tuesday Boston show.
ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you. :)

I agree. So many of us can't make definite plans until TBD is announced.

My guess is after the 19th when General public tickets sell out. After the first show sells out, they will add the second. At least that's the way it worked in the past.
He who forgets will be destined to remember.

Very possible. Though I can't think of a time that they've played less than 2 Mass shows per leg... let alone what venue would be next, in between Mass and NY?

Mansfield, Providence and Foxwoods. That's about it. All are extremely unlikely.

The Fenway brass hasn't gotten back to them yet about a show on the 18th. They'll iron out all the plans and announce it very soon.

Plus a day or two before the announcement it was widely posted that they would be playing both nights in Boston. Unless there's a scheduling conflict with the venue, I dont know where else they'd play that day.

0% chance... if they have a game the day after there's just no way.

well, now that it's announced, a call to the venue box office might clear things up. asking "when do the tickets for the second PJ show go on sale?" could result in a positive answer.

I know. It's just fun to ruffle some feathers around here sometimes. All the people that bash Fenway would be the first to complain if they can't go. (if it happens.)

Yep, standard operating procedure would suggest waiting until Monday night is sold out or nearly sold out..but then again, maybe they're about due for a new procedure. Plus one night only in Boston would undoubtedly prove about as potent as a show could get.. And a must see for the traveling jamma..

I doubt they'd put an arena show on-sale and then add a stadium show in the same city
  • drsluggodrsluggo Posts: 4,742
I'm hoping if they're going to add a 2nd show they do it next week so there will be a TC presale... or just add it as a rollover show like they've done in the past.

Any reason why Borgata? That casino up in Mass would be a more likely casino, and they would get much more money playing an arena at $75 a pop.

    $75 x 14,000 = $1,050,000

To make that same amount of money in a smaller (lets say 2,500) capacity venue, you'd have to charge $420 per ticket.

I'd say it's unlikely, but possible.

I completely agree with this. I'd love to dream of a TC only show somewhere, but that just does not seem like something they are going to do when they'll have an arena already setup for a 2nd show.

No particular reason for the Borgata. Fill in any name of a casino. Just because of the "betting" comments.

I talked to somebody at the Garden today and they said they have a "hold" on that date. If it sells out fast, they have first dibs on PJ...sounds like 2 nites at the Garden to me

Can anyone else confirm that? If we get two people who get that answer from the Garden I'll feel more comfortable planning for it... sometimes you get some random person ther that just tells you that becuase they heard it somewhere. You know how that can go.. :)
