With all the talk about the tour and how we hear is almost didn't happen....but do we know why? Could it be that Matt was going to leave for soundgarden? Was it venue problems? Do we know why?
Just asking not rumor starting.

He did a terrific job in Soundgarden as well. Not sure if he's better with PJ.

  • My guess is Soundgarden and we should be hearing soon about their touring plans, which will pick up after the PJ tour. Best guess.

    I found this:

Soundgarden will reunite for concerts in 2010, according to a Twitter message from frontman Chris Cornell which directs fans to a new Web site, Soundgardenworld.com. The Seattle rock quartet — Cornell, guitarist Kim Thayil, bassist Ben Shepherd and drummer Matt Cameron — has not played a concert since splitting up in the spring of 1997.

Although no details have been announced yet, sources tell Billboard the group is weighing offers from several major U.S. and international festivals. The tour is still a work in progress, due to Cameron’s prior commitments to play with Pearl Jam.

He did a great job with Soundgarden but I feel he will stay with PJ long term. This Soundgarden thing is only gonna be to make the guys some money. Matt will know that. And would CC really want to be involved in a band again after all this time doing whatever he wants?
  • he fits in Soundgarden better but they obviously have more personality conflicts.

not to mention the Job security that he has in Pearl Jam, considering the massive man-crush Vedder has on Cameron.

jack is a studio drummer for spinertte(sp) and is working with band in canada and is coming out with another solo cd. He probably could do a tour with pj now that they just tour for a few weeks at a time.
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
    Sammi: Wanna just break up?

  • I am sure ED will do his little tour thingy by the end of the year as well

It has to do with Boom's rider which requires fresh poi and a freshly roasted whole wild boar are flown in direct from Maui for his pre-show meal on every tour stop. New FAA regulations threatened the food's travel, but in the end Mike ponied up the cash to buy the roasted boar its own seat on a flight in each night to ensure the shows would happen.
