***Indy is Gonna be a tough Ticket***

This antagonist is a bit nervous about scoring tickets. One of the few weekend dates w/ many Chicago people venturing down. I'm there regardless, but it may not be via 10 Club.....have never been shut out including The Vic...but.....skeptical on this one. :D Again you're welcome, and I am glad my decrepit behavior fostered such a jovial May.

In the past the midwest shows haven't been really tough to get via fan club tickets..Not saying it will be that way this time..But, I think pretty much everyone will get the tickets they want for the midwest shows..

Let's not forget the fact that last year's insane Chicago turnout was an exception. At the time, the ONLY North American dates were Toronto and Chicago. There was no West Coast dates or Philly went it all went down.
I drove from T.O., and I met folks from all over the US, including Texas, Florida, Georgia, Seattle, Minnesota, San Fransico, Iowa, Boston etc, and even a bunch of people I knew from Toronto that I had no idea were going! It was the place to be at the time of the announcement and explains why there were fanclub members sitting in the 300's for night 1.
This tour spreads it out a bit more. Yes there is a huge following in Chicago, but I don't think there will be as many people (east anyway) travelling to Indy if there are closer shows.

  • Anyone know the Indy venue number size compared to the United Center? I know the OP is worried, but while the Chicago 09 shows were packed, were a lot of members unable to get 10C tickets? I logged on that day and kept trying and trying. It took a bit, but was able to get tickets. I figure with dates set in the Midwest and East, we should be able to get tickets for Indy.

24,000 or so for capacity. It's like a mini Alpine. Same style only smaller. Nowhere near as cool though. Camping within walking distance though. That's a plus.

I think getting tickets won't be that bad. A lot of shows in the area.

Cool, I haven't been there in quite some time, and have never seen Pearl Jam there. Do you know if camping will be availiable that early in the summer? Always a fun place to see a show.

Hmm, that would be sweet to camp there too. Do they let people tailgate usually? That's one of my favorite parts of Alpine. At '03 in particular I had the greatest time tailgating EARLY and sticking around afterward. We got there at like 10 AM because I wanted to buy tickets at the box office for Radiohead, and when I asked about where they would be lining up fan club members for tickets later the worker said "Um, they're already lining up in the back corner of the lot." :o So my brother and I drove back there and joined the line. We already had lawn chairs and a cooler full of beer and food in the trunk so it was perfect.

Last time I was there, we drank all day at the campground, walked to the show with a few beers, awesome concert, stumbled back to the campground, drank with fellow campers discussing the great show we just saw.

It's like tailgating all day and night long. Really fun time.
