If your going to the St.Louis and your coming from out of town...If you have time?...Make sure you check out the arch, Bush stadium and you can't go wrong taking a tour of Anheuser Bush factory...Also, great place to eat on the Landing...It is called the Spaghetti factory...I think there is other Spaghetti factories in various cities...

I will try to think of some other places that may be neat to check out..

StlJoe can probably add some more places that are well worth checking out...I haven't been to downtown St.Louis in a long time...Even though I only live 20 mins from St.Louis..

And when I went to the Hooters downtown 2 years ago when I was there for the Foo Fighters, they had the best looking waitresses I've ever seen. ;)

My daughter lives off Grand so I'm going to have her post some neat stuff to do. She's at the Dr right now, so it's going to be later or tomorrow.

    Skip the arch.

    See the CITY MUSEUM!!!

I sh*t you not, it's one of the coolest things in STL.

If you wiki Sauget Il it says this

The Village of Sauget also has a very tolerant attitude toward small business. Many strip clubs exist in this zone of free enterprise.

Can anybody recommend some good golf courses around? I might try to hit the links the day of the show if the weather is good.

Good luck with the Wishlist party! I think I'm going to catch them in Virginia and hopefully Boston and one of the NY shows. We'll see.

    Hi,

I am not a golfer myself..My brother is..I will ask him...I know we have a lot of golf courses here in Illinois just like 30 mins from St.Louis...Let me text my brother..I am sure he knows of some golf courses closer to St.Louis..

You know why they named game golf right?...Ran out of all of the other four letter words..

Also, to get to the actual show (or a lot of these destinations), I recommend taking the Metro train. I lived there for 4 yrs and I took it to all kinds of events at the Scottrade Center.

I can't say it's one of the better golf courses, but if you go to Forest Park there's a 27 hole course and a dinky 9-holer. That way you get to see some of the park while you play. The main course isn't too shabby, reasonable price considering it's in St. Louis city limits (most good courses will be in the 'burbs).

And if you're in Forest Park to play golf you can go to the Zoo, or Art Museum, so many other things too. Science Center is right across the highway.

And don't forget the Hill for great Italian food.

I had Imo's pizza for the first time last year and did not like it much. Neither did the friends we were with. I can't remember now why we didn't. I think it had way to much cheese and crust maybe.

We also ate at a little place called Duff's I think. It was great.

    The Old Courthouse is cool.

Imo's is very very thin crust. And they use a different cheese than anyone else. Kind of have to be in the mood for it.

Trying to get together a list of stuff to see and do and local places to eat.

I'd like to go to the Hill to eat. I didn't get a chance to go last time I was up there. There was a place on there that I saw on Diners, Drive-in's and Dives (I think) on Food Network that looked great. lol May can't come soon enough! I just wish the Cards were at home that week.

Right, for those of you out of towners going to St. Louis you would be fools to not follow Crazy4Chords advice. I caught a glimpse of the Aarch from the air in route from Amsterdam, before Landing of course..definitely a must to get into :) ha..

    bump this shit up!!

There is a really nice yet affordable course about 10 - 15 from scottrade on the Illinois side of the river. It's called Gateway National Golf course. Has great views of the arch and is really well kept.

Well in the next few days were going to start calling around and seeing what we can get done for hotels, party, whatever else. So if anyone has any ideas they want us to look into, let me know.
