yepp I messed up I forgot to renew last year and earlier this week when I checked my profile i noticed it said once I renewed I would get a new member #. Emailed Ten club they said no luck since I apparently did this before:(. Dang why cant they just auto renew these things? Getting a new member number is going to be heartbreaking.

anyway im hoping someone from Kansas City that isnt going might want to sell a pair of tickets for face ? otherwise ill be going through ticketmaster:(

thanks!

  • Dude dont feel bad. I joined the ten club in 1996 and my number was in the 80xxx's. I was in like flint. Then, life got in the way of pearl jam in about 2001-2002 and when i went to renew in 2003, i learned that i had to get a new number.....345xxx. So even if you joined again now, you wouldnt be screwed as badly as me.

there is still a grace period of 3 months, so you wont lose your number if you renew withing that time period. However you still won't be able to get tix to this tour.

I probably shouldnt have told you this, since my seniority wouldve been bumped up by 1, but I'd hate to be in your shoes and not told the truth that you're still all good (seniority wise). 8-)
  • i feel ya man, same thing happened to me last year when i went to buy tix for the chicago shows. i somehow completely missed the reminder emails and the grace period. lost 10 yrs of seniority myself. yeah, i wish they would let you pay for years in advance. I'd just drop a hundred to cover myself for a decade. damn it. well, it could be worse. you could be from Texas. ;)

This person has obviously passed the grace period since his profile is telling him he will be getting a new number.

same fucken boat only I joined in 94!!!! We'd be the faces Ed was getting sick of seeing at every show down in front. I'll never ever forgive myself for that. Shit, by now we'd be getting Xmas cards from the boys if we kept our original number!!!

I used to be right on time with my renewels, but about 2 years ago it never crossed my mind. But I got an automated email from the 10c reminded me it was going to expire... I was surprised I forgot but then I renewed it.

Doesn't everyone get those automated emails? I think I get one every year now, and its saved me a few times now.

On the other hand.. 10c does allow you to buy more then 1 year at a time.. so you could just do a few orders, and buy a few years.

totally sucks you lost your number though.... since people hold onto their numbers passionately, its virtually impossible to improve one's senority (since hardly anyone lets their memberships lapse).

Yeah, people really need to learn how to read. He clearly says I forgot to renew LAST YEAR.

Last year technically could have been within the last 3 months.

Anyways I apologize for misreading the post, I just figured I would help out the OP, guess my good deed deserves bashing since I read it wrong. Man I must be a moron
  • I had a lower number before. Around the time to renew my mother passed away, and the last thing on my mind was the ten club. Then my father passed away and I cared even less about the ten club. Then I finally renewed and got a higher number. Point is...there's more heartbreaking things than getting a new member number.

these days, the 50,XXX to 80,XXX number range is definitely not one you'd want to lose. that number range is essentially right in the middle of the 3rd row...the "sweet spot."

Yea you can renew at any time and if its before you have expired they just add another year, i pretty much do it anytime i buy something from the goods section..just add another year. not that i matters for me 427XXX range here :( any idea which row that will be?
    This could be the day

yeah I got a new pc and apparently the renewal reminder went into a spam filter that I had not turned off in time, went from 211XXX to 4XXXXX. It does suck loosing a decade old number but I'll get over it, as others have said.
Ill have to get tickets via the general public this time, feels odd for the first time in a long time not getting them through the ten club.

no reason to doubt it, since the membership may have only been activated in '96 when said member started paying membership dues. the number would have been assigned, without the membership activated, for anything from a 10C goods purchase to a fan letter addressed to the band,...

I noticed that this year they are giving us like 6 months from expiration time to renew without losing our numbers. Thats a long time.
