New Presale Policy a bit rough?

NEW PRE-SALE RULE!!!!!!! Once you have a pair of tickets in your shopping cart you must complete the check out process within 10 minutes of placing them in your shopping cart, otherwise you run the risk of those tickets being dumped back into stock and going to the next member in line.

As I'm sure you've all experienced (as have I), the flood of purchasers - especially for more popular locations - often causes the issue of not being able to complete the sale within ten minutes (I've actually lost tickets that way before). Anyone know if there's been some way of ensuring that back-end processing delays won't be a major issue from now on?

I sure hope this works. I've missed "hometown" TC tickets because of their glitches.

This will do much more good than harm. Should help a lot to get rid of the dreaded "Temporarily out of stock" messages.

i have been shut out of 10c tickets for the past couple of tours and had to go through live nation/ticketmaster. hoping my luck changes this time around.

i like the 10 minute cart rule is a good idea. i would even support it being only 5 minutes. it shouldnt take more than a couple of minutes to check out.

Yeah I see it is being helpful. I mean TM does the same thing. They have like a 2 minute limit, right? (Yes I know their online system is a cluster...)
It is just to keep people from putting tickets in their cart and holding onto them for an hour, just to see if they are still available or something idiotic.
I don't read it as you have 10 minutes to complete your sale start to finish from the time you get into the goods section. Just once you hit buy, then your ten minutes starts.

But the problem is what happens if you put the tickets into your basket, and click checkout... and then their site freezes up for 10 minutes? ...lost tickets. I guess it may help too. I dunno. It's just frustrating to have a ticketing website that locks up so predictably.

All ticket sites I have used have limits. 10 minutes is very generous compared to some!

As long as their website didn't lock up, 10 minutes would be great. Knowing that it does, and that they won't fix the issue, this will just add to a problem.

Call me optimistic, but I do not think they'll be a huge problem getting tix to the majority of the shows. Thinking back to a moderately popular show stop such as Toronto on the past tour, tix were available for hours. The only immediate sell out I can remember was MSG, BOS and maybe the first Philly shows - Isn't that WPB show still in the Goods section :) - anyway, I think it'll be ok. Be here when they go on sale, and I wager most people are going to get their tickets. I have faith in the 10c!

i dont know who the hell would hold tickets for more than a minute or so,
or as long as it would take for me to type all the neccessary information in,...
i dont think its rough at all.
