    I think it also referes to the 1,562,986,852.5 threads started over the last 3 months asking when the tour dates will be announced.

    I think 9 cities is more likely than nine shows. We already have strong rumors of two night stands in Botson and NYC. That would leave only five shows and a lot of time to fill between Jazz fest and rumored MSG shows around May 20.
