There are plenty of bars in Olde City which is not far at all from the Philly waterfront. As for the riverlink I'm guessing you mean the ferry, so within a short cab ride or walk there is, a Dave and Buster's (right on Delaware Ave), and a bunch of bars in Olde City (around Headhouse Square).

go up to south street, there are a few that are cool there, paddy whacks comes to mind(2nd and south) old city has a bunch of cool ones too, go to 2nd and chestnut, triumph is awesome, mad river is cool, the kybr has cheap drinks. you could always go to northern liberties as well, not that far from there either. Finigans Wake, Tiki Bobs and McFaddens stand out in my mind.

Eulogy is great.. a bit pricey but well worth it for their beer selection

not a jack drinker, i like jamison or celtic crossing personally, but i have never seen it in ne philly. i would think some place down there would have it, most likely eulogy

if you're into more of a rock & roll / punk rawk atmosphere check out either drinkers on market between front & 2nd ($1 pbr shot-guns, $2 jaeger shots, $2 high lifes) or the khyber ($2 pbr bottles) on 2nd between market and chestnut. you can find bar specials on philly2night.com too.

I like Plough and the Stars (Irish, on 2nd st between Chestnut and Market) and Eulogy (Belgian). If you're into fancy, upscale drinks like martinis, try Tangerine (on Market between 2nd and 3rd). Drinker's is a college-type bar on Market between Front and 2nd.
Another good one that might fit well w/ the Pearl Jam crowd is Sugar Mom's. This one is in Old City a few blocks from the ferry. Its down a side street off of 3rd street about a half a block north of Market. They have a lot of good local beer on tap and a decent cheap bar food menu.
