Pina "The Inside Edge" Chick Hints at Toronto Show???

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but I received an email from the Inside Edge today (102.1 Toronto's radio insider club). The first headline is from Pina, who is a well known Pearl Jam freak, and has run multiple contests surrounding the band in the past.

Anyway, the headline is as follows:

"Tune in Monday morning for a very exciting Dean Blundell Show announcement! Let's just say I'm jumping off the walls so that could only mean one thing..."

Possible Toronto show annoucement??? At the very least I would expect an Edge Adventure to see one of the shows on this tour...

Thoughts???

Knowing Pina, I would say that this is a very strong possibility...

Could be Buffalo - Pina is a huge jammer. But a show within 90 min driving distance could be close enough to run her up the walls

Im assuming it will be at the ACC since too cold for the Ampitheatre. I dont want to go through that hell again of parking at Molson Amp.

Dean Blundell would not announce a Buffalo show.

But he would announce an Edge Adventure trip to one, no? What relevance would a Monday announcement have to tomorrow's tour announcement? Kind of late breaking news

Tomorrow is the Ten Club announcement; if the regular onsale is next week Friday, as is being rumoured, then the public announcement could be Monday morning.

You are right, it could be an Edge Adventure.

BUT, if the Edge never announces shows the day Ten Club does. They take a couple of days longer, typcially.

I expect a Toronto show even if this is an "American" tour. I think they have a fondness for Canadians and they always try get a TO, Van or Montreal show in. With that said, I will also be enjoying them in some U.S city this year!

We won't know until we see the tour schedule, but we'll be hitting some shows for sure...

  • As much as I'm hoping it's for Toronto, this announcement could be for the Buffalo show.

    No Toronto show announced today.

I don't know what to think.
Pina sounds like she's definitely hinting at PJ. And I don't think the Dean Blundell show would do an Edge adventure to Buffalo...
But usually we would have some smoke around a possible Toronto show well in advance.

The only possible explanation is that last year the Toronto show leaked ahead of time and I know for a fact that a gag order was put on (by 10C) after word got out. So this time they might have made some threats beforehand to ensure that news didn't leak.

That said, I still don't expect Toronto to be on the list.

Ya, I remember when that happened... I know my contact at Live Nation takes it seriously and wouldn't say a word. I think he'd get pissed if I asked him.
Nor do I. I'm thinking somewhere within four hours... worst case.
