What can be better than Hot for Teacher by Van Halen? Nothing, that's what.

Probably the best Van Halen video too.

What are some other great ones?

Maybe not the most flashy, but WMA is probably the one that does it for me the most. Followed closely by Hot For Teacher and when the drums kick in on La Grange. Another song that is okay, but the intro drums always stick in my head is Honky-Tonk Women. There are a few others but I'm drawing a blank on them right now.

Oh yeah, the short drum lick to open Sean Olsen by Korn is pretty ear-worm-riffic. I think it's the tone of the drums on that one as much as what he's playing.

...and I can't believe no one's mentioned what may be the most intricate and impressive drun intro - Force Of Nature!!!:lol::lol:

    Painkiller by Judas Priest.

Scott Travis is the most underrated drummer in metal. Anyone who hasn't heard his drum intro on this song should definately check it out before posting anything here.

Also.. The sample at the beginning of 'Heavy Metal Drummer' by Wilco just works perfectly.
