Any rumors of Michigan shows?

I know the economy sucks here more than other places but I'm sure they could sell out the Van Anel arena in Grand Rapids. It only holds around 11,000 people.

I'm hoping for a Detroit show. it's been a few years. I would make the trip to GR again in a heart beat as well!

I was thinking East Lansing at the Breslin Center would make sense. It would draw from both the Detroit and Grand Rapids areas.

I'll take a two night stand at DTE like in 2003. That would make the 4 year wait acceptable!

I'm not a huge fan of DTE theater. While a 2 night stand anywhere would be great, I rather it be somewhere else. Too bad they have outgrown the great smaller places in MI like St. Andrews Hall.

I was at the show there in 06. Lots of empty seats in the upper deck but might have been the best show I've been to. Someone posted last week that they'd be hitting up a bunch of college towns so if michigan gets a show probably East Lansing. I know they have played there before, 03 I think.
    Summerfest 7/8/95
    Missoula 6/20/98
    Alpine Valley 6/26/98 & 6/27/98
    Alpine Valley 10/8/00
    Champaign 4/23/03
    Alpine Valley 6/21/03
    Missoula 8/29/05
    Chicago 5/16 & 17/06
    Grand Rapids 5/19/06
    Summerfest 6/29/06 & 6/30/06
    Tampa 6/12/08
    Chicago 8/23/09
    Indy 5/7/10
    Alpine Valley x2 2011
    Wrigley 2013
    Milwaukee 14
    Telluride 16

I would bet they could sell out in GR if there are no shows in Chicago or Detroit. That being said, East Lansing would be a perfect compromise between GR and Detroit.

it was '98, my first show. Not really the best venue for sound but hey, I wouldn't mind a show less then 5 miles from my driveway. I hope they come up to the mitten but I have a gut feeling that I will have to take a road trip to Ohio.

Yes, thank you, we deserve it!! With our shoddy economy and highest national unemployment rate, this would help pull a lot of people out of a funk. However, I gotta say, NO EAST LANSING. Barf. That place is a shitty college town with no decent venues (yes, I went to UofM). It would be sweet if they would play the iconic folk venue The Ark in Ann Arbor, which seats less than like 200 (a girl can dream...) ;)
