There are posters and commercials everywhere... even driving on the Alberni highway to tofino (population 2000!) there must have been 2 or 3 signs advertising the economic action plan. According to Macleans these signs can cost up to 7000 dollars each to make and install

I'm not sure what the total amount spent on advertising is but Ive read a couple newspaper sources that say Harper has spent 100 million dollars on ads..... 100 million dollars?!?! ON ADS? Maybe I'm wrong but this seems a little backwards...

There are a lot of those ads, you should see how many signs there are in ottawa. But wouldn't those ads be considered part of the stimulus too? I mean you have to hire people to film the ads, act in the ads, then you have to pay money to the TV stations to play the ads. All of that is money going into the economy. Plus even with the signs you have to pay people to build the signs, which would create jobs.

the problem is tho that these ads are doubling as promos for the conservative party ... my understanding is that these ads would not meet Ontario's provincial standards for gov't advertising due to a conflict of interest ... many of the ads point people to websites that have been redesigned ... they are all now conservative blue ... and have partisan pieces in em ...
