The JOKE is on the American public
(March 9) -- Radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh has thrown down the gauntlet. If the U.S. Congress passes health care reform, Limbaugh will leave the country to receive his medical treatment.
Specifically, Limbaugh told a caller that he envisions traveling to Costa Rica should the government, through a federal program costing upwards of $1 trillion, expand health care coverage to approximately 30 million Americans who are currently uninsured.
Costa Rica, as it happens, offers universal heath care to all of its residents.
WHAT A HYPOCRITE
Rush you are such the drama queen. Quite acting like receiving health care is Costa Rica is the worst thing in the world.
Costa Rica has a universal health care system (CCSS) that covers over 95% of its population and also has thriving private health insurance companies.
Oh yes, Mr. Rush, don't forget to tell the people in the U.S. that the quality of Costa Rica's health care system ranks higher than the U.S. and at a lower cost.

Hey, Rush, don't forget to let the American public that those very same health insurance providers that are fighting a universal health system here in the US actually allow their members to travel aboard for medical treatment because its CHEAPER for them also.

SIN EATERS--We take the moral excrement we find in this equation and we bury it down deep inside of us so that the rest of our case can stay pure. That is the job. We are morally indefensible and absolutely necessary.

Our government is the potent, the omnipresent teacher. For good or for ill, it teaches the whole people by its example. Crime is contagious. If the government becomes a law-breaker, it breeds contempt for law; it invites every man to become a law unto himself; it invites anarchy. - Louis Brandeis

and in Costa Rica, too
"what a long, strange trip it's been"
Sounds like a bargain to me .....
I seem to remember other drama queens talking about leaving the US if GWB was elected...they never did. I bet Rush never goes anywhere. None of those people have enough integrity to follow through.
Oh yeah Rush, don't let the door hit your big fat drug addicted behind on the way out.
"Well, you tell him that I don't talk to suckas."
Which drama queens...gve up some names?

He lives in a lap of luxary up the street not far from where I sometimes work in Palm Beach Florida. Believe me he's not leaving that lifestyle for anything as he loves to patronize the restaurants here in town. Costa Rica just wouldn't suffice for even the hellish idea of Health Reform, just another ploy to get a rise out of his people, nothing more.

I don't remember the names here, but I know in the real world that Edward Vedder was one of them.
The HYPOCRISY of his statement is that Rush is willing to leave the US for medical treatment if we pass health care reform - a partially - universal system. Yet, Costa Rica, the country he's willing to receive his medical care is under a full universal health care system.
Rush is a MOCKERY to his listeners and rest of the people of this country because the very type of health care reform system Rush rants against is the same health care reform system he is willing to receive medical treatment for himself - only it is in a foreign country.
here are some, I remember at the time some retracted their statements later on and what not or said they never said it or just never responded back to it.
Robert Altman,Martin Sheen,Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon, Rosie O'Donnell, Matt Damon, Ed Asner, Whoopi Goldberg, Alec Baldwin(but he denied saying it from the start)... There was also a few others here and there but I can't remember them all.
Eddie Vedder - if little Damien II wins I will move to another country.
I think its just an emotional response from people when they don't get what they want, I never really put much stock into it.

I know right? And the funny thing is that the whole "freedom of speech" thing doesn't exsist in most places in the world. He makes me sick, just like any extreme.
