Standby for SNL this weekend?

Just wondering if anyone was going to try and get standby tickets for SNL this weekend. I was planning on going but my friend found out he couldn't go and now I'm debating on if I should still go or not. I would be coming down from upstate NY and was planning on going down early Friday morning. The earlier you get there, the lower number you'd have for standby and possibly a better chance of getting in.

    I was planning on driving from Boston, but I'm not going to now because I hear that even the well connected are having trouble getting in. The idea of traveling all that way to see the band perform two songs that are gonna be on tv anyway isn't worth the tiny chance you actually get in IMO.

    ya i dont understand the draw of going to SNL just to see a band perform. The SNL studios is notoriously cramped, meaning even if you get in there is no guarantee you will even be able to see the stage

    is anyone gonna go to the No Code show at Sullivan Hall on Friday the 12th? 1 day after the rehearsal, and 1 day before the live show?

    they also have thursday rehearsals.
