Eddie has said a couple times that Garden is one that he really loves, though he never used the word 'favorite'

I was watching a video of when Yield was released. Eddie said he loved DTE and it was his fave on the album. Judging by how often and how much they put into it when played live, I'd believe it.

you'd think he'd be able to regularly remember the words then.

  • Since everyone else just remembers from somewhere, so will I...

I remember Stone talking about "Nothingman" being his favorite song in a magazine interview one time.

I also remember Ed stating "Do the Evolution" was his favorite song on the YIELD record during an interview for MTV.

I remember Ed during a tv interview way back in the Vs. days where he would listen to the rock radio station and here some agressive songs from Soundgarden, Nirvana, and Tad and just love it, but then get kind of disapointed when they would play his band's "Elderly Woman Behind the Counter In A Small Town". At the time, "Blood" was his favorite.

I remember an online chat promoting Binaural with Mike, Stone, and Ed where they were asked what their favorite songs off the record were. Mike said "Nothing As It Seams", Stone said "Soon Forget", and Ed said that he might as well pick a Stone song now and went with "Thin Air".

I remember Jeff liking "Brother" so much that when Stone did not want to use it anymore, Jeff when out and dunked basketballs until his wrists were bleeding, thats from Lost Dogs, haha!

I remember Matt Cameron talking about "Faithfull" being his favorite song to play live.

I'm gonna guess the whole band's favorite song to play is "Even Flow".

I'm not a musician but I would think when new work is done and the new "art" is complete, that a song from the current release would be a favorite because its just that, current and represents feelings, experiences from right now. The fans are experiencing their new creation which has to be a factor too and their must be a feeling of great pride with the completion of the new work.

I remember an interview from way back (maybe 2000) with Jeff saying that Present Tense was a song that he wished he would have written because it totally captured how he felt.

Actually, here it is.......from a KNDD interview in 2000

Andy: What's your favorite Pearl Jam song?

Jeff: Man, I don't know, I have no idea. Probably Present Tense.

Steve: Ah, that's my favorite too.

    Andy: Because?

Jeff: I think lyrically, it was..it was one of those lyrics that I wish I would have wrote. Because it totally represented, like, how I feel. Like when he wrote that lyric, I was like, "WOW." You know? That's a feeling that I've had in me for a long time, and he just put it into words.

matt said his favorite jack song to play is faithful. not sure about favorite pj song overall.

mike's has to be evenflow. chicago night 2 ed said, "he has to play that song or he'll fucking kill someone". i think that sums it up

i'd guess ed's is betterman because most of it's just him and the crowd and it's always a good sing along with some "its fuckin beautiful" comment after
  • I wouldn't be at all surprised if Ed's favourite PJ song is something none of us have ever, and maybe will never, hear.
