PHISH ADVICE PLEASE!

I know next to nothing about the band Phish but hear a lot about them on the boards. Can someone give me a starting point so I can listen to this band to see what the fuss is about. They seem to have an amazing following not unlike PJ's and I've only heard good stuff about them. Someone help me please!! :D

    I am in no way a Phish-head, but I do consider myself a casual fan. Try these live albums on for size:

    A Live One
    Hampton Comes Alive
    New Years Eve 1995

    I could suggest the studio albums, they are very accomplished musicians and the songs have rich melodies. However, the true way of experiencing these guys is listening to live albums. The three I have suggested are readily available and exhibit a wide range of their catalog.

    Yeah, I think A Live One would be a pretty good starting point. If you don't like that, you probably won't like Phish.
