i heard sea of teeth in all the real girls. loved the movie, but the song was just so meloncholic and beautiful. it sort of made the movie go from excellent to life changing. sad to hear the news since sparklehorse had such a huge hit last year with the Dark Night Of the Soul album that had julian casablancas and james mercer and everyone else in the indie world on it.

Yeah, they're brilliant albums.

I have a 'vivadixie...' vinyl on which he signed "captain howdy says 'hi'" from way back in the day. That album was one of my housemate and my favourites at uni. I remember once walking across the kilometer wide bridge that links Norsundby to Aalborg in Denmark at 6am and I was listening to the album on this dark, silent morning covered in snow and just as he sang the words "all you have to do is look at the sky and wish", I looked up and saw a shooting star. It was a nice moment in my life.
