Summer In Abaddon and Autumn Of The Seraphs are awesome, but wow are they mediocre in concert. Discuss?

    That's unfortunate as I love both those discs too. I guess if you think about it, they do sound very studio polished.

    They played in Orlando a few months ago (two hours away from me) and i tried to go see them last minute without tickets. I called and called the venue, but nobody answered. So I drove two hours and the damn show was sold out and I couldnt find any way in. :(

    Why do you think they were mediocre live?

    this is correct. They speed everything up to much, purposely. That bothers me

    As well, there are too many textrues on the albums that are lacking live.

    As far as albums go the first two are just as good as Abaddon and Seraphs

    I think the new album I"formation Retrieved" is out today. Anybody hear it or picking this up?

    Got it already. Very, very good. Typical Pinback (which is a good thing). Melodic, indie-pop, harmonizing, sophisticated chord structures. The artwork for the album is amazing. They commissioned Daniel Danger. "A, Request" is my favorite track so far. Next week it'll probably be "Proceed To Memory".

    $3.99 on Amazon MP3, I believe.
