In no way would I consider it "LAME" for Pearl Jam to tour without new material....isn't their music collection enough??

I think it may be better that they aren't promoting a new album or anything. They will play whatever they want and may play more of their older material and some rarities. You never know.

Vancouver 05 was fucking great. One of the most memorable versions of Alive for me. Plus I got to hang out in Vancouver. Great city. Maybe this is another reason to visit someone?
yeah but it wouldn't be really lame if there wasn't any and the last thing we need on a TOUR ANNOUNCEMENT DAY is someone like you really scraping the bottom of the 'things to complain about' barrel.

I think the phrase "tongue in cheek" applies here...
Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.

man you need some psychiatric help to get off mommas teet
I wasn't complaining I was trying to be inspirational.
So if I have to explain it...it loses it's meaning
but let me play this out for you (someone from the band maybe)...opens the thread and it makes them...think that maybe some new material would be good for the upcoming shows...
I don't know maybe I'm just wishful thinking....(but you guys need to get a grip) this wasn't a jab or complaint
I was just playing up the complaint thing going around here today.

damn straight.
We all know what was going on during that tour. The band was working on Avocado at the time and wanted to take a break and tour for inspiration.

i dont see the point of them touring if they're not going to play something new, and as if they need inspiration for new material they have enough leftovers from avocado to drop a new album on us
I'm going to Roo... shooting for DC, and ? Columbia SC ? for summer roadtrip.
And though no one here will believe me and I'll get instantly flamed, I'm also going to be seeing them in St Louis later this summer.
YES
sounds good. good luck with the 10C presale if you're going that route,...

look, when I say "someone like you," I'm not saying it like "Oh great, here's that Strangest Tribe again." It's not you personally. I said we didn't need "someone like you scraping the bottom of the 'things to complain about' barrel," which I felt you were doing. I have no preconceived bias against you.
I agree with the original thread starter. Are Pearl Jam a greatest hits band now? I want new material. More importantly, I want GOOD new material. How much live stuff can we take?
