Morality, or "Moralic Acid" as Nietzsche calls it, is a concept that always has bothered me.

I don't mind if you have your own sense of morality, in fact, I think it is probably essential to have a few (emphasis on few) sets of boundaries and moral reasoning; i.e. don't kill, steal, rape, abuse, etc etc. Beyond that it gets dangerous, ESPECIALLY when people determine that THEIR MORAL "COMPASS" is THE moral compass. Or my version of what is what is right/wrong is the definitive set of values that should be followed by everyone.

Why is it that people are stuck in this midevil thought process? Why do politicians continue to talk about a "moral compass" when that (inevitably) leads to discrimination of those who do not align with the leaders' compass?

What the sociopath and sadist do for fun, the "moralist" does on behalf of "duty" or "justice."

Even my friends who I consider to be the most far-out and least dogmatic people I know... have this notion that their set of morals (which is usually a small list) is what the rest of the world should strive towards.

EVERYONE is trying to immanentize the eschaton... STOP IT. Please.

If it wasn't for morality everyone on this planet might go sane...
Everything not forbidden is compulsory and eveything not compulsory is forbidden. You are free... free to do what the government says you can do.
