my compass reversed polarity today.
grown so accustomed to magnetic poles,
now it seems aligned
to trace the meridians between our souls

but we met at a crossroads
you coming, i going,
routes memorized from the maps
traced out in the flesh of our palms

and so i journey north; you south
perpetually destined to meet,
if only briefly in our circumnavigation.
and if we meet at a pole,
in the anonymity of the darkness
ill always know you
by the taste of your mouth
"Ah, life is a gate, a way, a path to Paradise anyway, why not live for fun and joy and love or some sort of girl by a fireside, why not go to your desire and LAUGH..."
