I've played for over 10 years, learning guitar now but I still play drums. I love to play Alive and Light Years.

  • Yes, I play. Have a set of Pearl ELX export series, amber fade finish, zildjian cymbals. I like to play lightyears, nice steady beat.

I've been playing for about 7 years. I take a lot of influence from Dave's drumming; I use a lot of fills on the hi hat, splash, and 10" china cymbals. I do, however use a lot of fills on the toms.

My favorite songs to play are probably insignificance, porch, SOLAT, Given to Fly, Sad, Hold On, a few others.

    Cool white set!

I got my first set about 25 years ago, so that's when I say I started playing. I'm not counting tapping on snare drums before that. :D

We used to cover a number of pearl jam songs in the early '90's. Favorite by far is SOLAT. Porch was also awesome. Not so much the new versions of them, but the classic ones.

I want to play, does that count? Drum kits are just so expensive, and take up too much room for me. Would love to be able to pound the skins, though.
    Thanks EPOTTSIII!

Ian Hadfield wouldn't happen to be among us, would he be?

...one of the first PJ sites I remember is lukin.com, which was since retired. It had Ian's (the guy who ran it) interpretations of a ton of songs, some drum tabs, and even a forum. It had an FAQ, which i've seen on a ton of different websites.

The site is still around, and the "family tree" is a great visual of how the band came together. Bands like Green River, Bad Radio, Eleven, malfunkshun, and a ton of others are mentioned.
