when you support Israeli crimes apparently.

Agreed. Hence the rockets and suicide bombings. You believe them to be an instigator, while they are a reaction. Simply put, you are wrong.
As for casualty numbers, they don't tell the whole story. Sometimes they don't even tell the truth. To begin with a frivolous example that nonetheless proves a point, I would imagine that during all of the second world war the number of American civilians killed by the Germans was virtually zero, while America killed thousands upon thousands of German civilians. If we are judging oppression based on numbers alone than America has some explaining to do to the descendants of the Nazis.

You're comparing Israels siege of Gaza and apartheid brutality to a war against fascism? Doesn't matter. Even the US assault on Germany was a crime against humanity. Look at the fire bombing of Dresden. 250,000 people burned alive in 1 night. Is anything worth that?
Israel is the more powerful actor, for sure. That doesn't mean it is in the wrong. Besides which power is a matter of perspective. If you look just at Israel and the Palestinians Israel is a goliath. However if you view the same situation the way an Israeli might, within the context of the wider Arab-Israeli conflict, Israel is a tiny country surrounded on all sides by hostile neighbors.

The whole Arab world could not match Israel in a war. They simply cannot afford it. Moot point anyway, Israel has an empire backing them. Your religious analogy doesn't make any sense.

Numbers matter. These are innocent people, families, wives children. And you are supporting their murders. That's where you stand.

Since there are so many anti-Israel threads already do we need another?

I do have an Israel question for the anti-Israel people. Do you think Israel should have the right to defend itself against Iran since it is fairly obvious Iran is trying to research nuclear weapons? Do you think Israel has the right to a pre-emptive strike if Iran shows hostility and arms a missile with a nuclear warhead?

rockets began about 9 years ago, sadly, about 30 Israelis have been killed. and there has not been a suicide bombing in years and that's got nothing to do with the wall you've built. i tell you what there has been though, there's been over a thousand palestinians killed as a result of Insraels actions in just over the last year.

is that how you justify illegally imprisoning 1.5 million people?

its not being anti-Israeli-its being pro human rights.

Have you ever wondered why Iran is researching nuclear weapons? Use logic and reason. Its neighbor was wiped out by the US. The US has been talking some shit lately, publicly, and the only safe countries outside the economic and miltary control of the US (a handful of countries left in the world) are the countries with nuclear weapons. North Korea-Russia....if you have nukes a miltary engagement is out of the question, and they have to go at you another way-see the collapse of the soviet union.

That may be the entire point of the Afghanistan war, to cut Iran out of the European oil market, destroying their economy. The pipeline was scheduled to cut through Kandahar province, not incidentally the most volatile region.

The game is Empire.....500 years from now maps of the world today will say US empire, and it will include most of the world. it will be compared with other empires, roman empire etc. only a handful of countries remain outside of the hegemony of the US empire today, and Iran is one of them. naturally it has become a target.

so you're trying ot play the defense card again, when its you on the offensive.

oh i'm glad someone has bought up Iran. i did the other day and was completely ignored.

Iran has just as much right to have access to nucleur weapons as Israel and the U.S. personally i don't like the fact that anyone has them, but who the hell are we to dictate to the rest of the world as to who can or cannot have them. and let's not forget there is only one country who has EVER used them. do i want Iran to show hostility towards Israel? of course not.

    question for you now unsung,

if it was anyone else, in any other country doing what Israel does to the Palestinians, no leader with half a brain or an ounce of integrity or compassion, would condone their actions.

here's something to think about. take out Israel and swap it with Iran. if this was Iran doing the same thing to Palestine, do you think there would be a different reaction from the world leaders?. foreign militaries would be falling over themselves to try and have some input. Iran would be loudly proclaimed as the biggest terrorists ever.

not Israel tho. they seem to be able to do whatever the hell they like.

    whys that again?

that is like saying, (lets get rid of labels so we don't get our emotional/domination psycho-circuitry involved)

"Person X owns a stockpile of automatic weapons, Person Y owns a few slingshots. Person X and Person Y have a very unfavorable relationship so Person Y is trying to arm themselves better since slingshots won't do much against automatic weapons. ALSO, Person Y has said, 'hey, get rid of your automatic weapons and we won't pursue these weapons... we'll all just have slingshots.' But Person X doesn't agree AND has the right to preemptively strike Person Y because they are attempting to get the same weapons Person X already holds."

On what planet does that situation seem fair?

I have sigs turned off for a good reason.

To answer the other question directed at me. You are probably right but I don't know enough about the whole thing to be drawn into it. I'll admit it.

I propose a new law of the internet ... You guys aware aware of Godwin's law, yes?
Godwin's Law (also known as Godwin's Rule of Nazi Analogies or Godwin's Law of Nazi Analogies) is a humorous observation made by Mike Godwin in 1990 which has become an Internet adage. It states: "As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1."

I propose a similar law, such that "As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of mention that the US is the only country to ever drop a nuclear weapon approaches 1." Like Godwin's law, the relevance to the discussion at hand has NO effect ... This will be mentioned.

    What about this:

Can You Here Me NoK'ing: My grandparents were beaten, fired on and kicked out of Palestine by terrorist gangs during the '48 Nakba and headed to Lebanon with nothing but the clothes on their back and a key to their house. After being well-off and owning a house and farm in Palestine they were left to rot in a tent in Lebanon in a refugee camp with no basic necessities and no way to make a living. My grandfather passes away at an early age because of the stress of not being able to take care of his family and because of all that was lost. Then decades later, my friends are still constantly abused at checkpoints and constantly abused at the Jordanian crossing bridge to get to the West Bank and see their families after studying or working abroad. Then a guy from the comfort of his Canadian home wants to joke about it, another who believes he knows all and is the only one connected to the Middle East wants everyone to call israel the greatest country on earth when clearly it is not, while another keeps interrupting political threads to tell people to talk about peace, like talking about peace was going to change fuck all.

To conclude, Lebanon has been a democracy in the Middle East before israel existed so get your facts straight. There may have been times of war where things changed or politicians were pressured but democracy continued. Or pseudo-democracy if I'm to go with acrossoceans.

Every person here has a preconceived mindset that will not change no matter what is posted so posting here has become rather pointless and my time is really better spent elsewhere. I must say though that the calls of antisemitism are incredibly lame since no one has ever mentioned hatred towards Jews per se. That would be like calling a humanitarian that travels to Gaza to help Palestinians and who makes a video diary everyday of the horrors he/she witnesses an antisemite because they are invested in the subject. Both Byrnzie and Pepe strike me as those who are invested in the subject because they are humanitarians only they do their part differently. I should add that although posting in this place is futile I do enjoy the posts by polaris_x, Truimph, Commy, outlaw and gimme!

    Peace and all that shite.
