Will do & i'll ask if they can go commercial free! The last time Pearl Jam played back in '06 on SNL I almost jumped out the window because of those repeated Got Milk commercials on Global TV!

They are already writing skits and scheduling the show by now aren't they? They don't care what a small group of fanboys on a message board think. When was the last time an artist got 3 songs?

Coldplay played 3 songs last season, and started a fourth at the end of the show which they showed part of.

And they probably havent done much writing for the PJ episode as they have a new one this week and pretty much take it one week at a time.

they write skits for a show the same week. they have to write for different hosts every week.

That is correct. The schedule is week to week.

Coldplay and I believe Phoenix also played 3 recently.

Tuesday:

Between 9:00 p.m. Tuesday night and 7:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, anywhere from 40 to 50 scripts are written, most of which will not be broadcast.
Once a writer's scripts are complete, he or she will often help other writers on their scripts.
Meanwhile, Lorne Michaels has another "Pitch Meeting" with the musical guest(s) and discusses which of their current songs, two to three, they should play in the show for their music act.

I just spray painted "We want Just Breathe, Last Kiss, and Soldier of Love on the 13th" on the side of Lorne Michaels' mansion. Don't tell anybody I did it.
