Black Label Society

I was thinking about how awesome Black Label Society was when they would open the main stage at the early 2000's Ozzfests I attended. Does anybody here listen to them and got any recommendations for which albums to get?
I’ve seen Pearl Jam 25 times, Eddie Vedder 9 times, and Brad once.

I love love love love love the opening track on 1919 Eternal called "bleed for me" the rest of the album is lame compared to that, i dont know about all his other solo albums though.

it's just raw, heavy, burly music.
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
Butthead: Huh huh.

'hangover music' was suppose to be similar to 'book of shadows' but i didnt think it compaired.
i think they have a best off bls out there, id go that route if i was looking for a cheap intro.
all the heavier albums had alot of filler in my opinion.
you can't go wrong with the 'pride and glory' album and 'book of shadows' is damn near perfect. like to know what happened to the zakk that wrote those songs.
Sonic Brew and 1919 Eternal are the best albums by BLS... you could march to war on that shit.
Stronger Than Death is good, probably 3rd favourite.
Blessed Hellride has some great tracks, some filler.
Hangover Music Vol. 6 is a bit more like Zakk's solo album and is therefore awesome.
Mafia, Shot To Hell and Order of The Black are all pretty weak (IMO) by early Black Label standards... I personally think Zakk lost the plot a bit after Dime's death.
Essential in my opinion? Pride & Glory (make sure you get the two disk edition with bonus tracks), Sonic Brew, 1919, Hangover Music and Book of Shadows (solo)
... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
