Let's show SVT some love here.... In the hope they make a second one :D

Seriously though, how awesome is SVT?

I was watching it earlier, while having a few beers. When it was over I whipped out my credit card and went crazy on PJ merch! :) :(

  • I like it! It could've been about 20 mins longer but can't really complain other than that. The band seem really at peace so it's nice to watch.

And we can't forget, this DVD gave us the legendary line...

  • Just watched it today while I was on the elliptical. Love that DVD.

    Stone's alway's the problem. j/k.

SVT was awesome. In the studio jams & interviews is sweet! Someday the early or later albums will be released like this.

I don't know the exact quote, but one of my favorite parts is Eddie talking about the part in Wishlist he wants to add and he's really confusing, and Mike says something really funny, I can't remember what bu i remember it being funny. :D

Oh this thread needs to be bumped the hell up!!!!

I am watching SVT right fucking now and I just fucking love it. I have watched my VHS version of it well over a hundred times I swear. It still plays great, but it's probably getting close to the time that I should get the DVD.

But, from beginning to end, and everything in between, I love everything about this video. Thanks to the band at the time (basically meaning w/Jack), thanks to Cameron Crowe for producing it, thanks to Mark Pellington for directing this awesome piece.

I wish so much that they would do another one similar to this for the next record. But I don;t know if another one could ever live up to the greatnes that is, Single Video Theory. And holy shit, it's been what, almost ten years since it came out? And Yield is more than ten years old.
  • they should have released the footage of them doing in hiding as an actual video. i always liked how they did that with the squares.

IIRC correctly they were practicing for their up coming shows with the Rolling Stones in Oakland, California November 1997. They even show the dates on their calender, I was lucky enough to be at the second Oakland show. Great night!...

    It was Stone's fault
  • The great thing about SVT is that they let us into their world at a time when we didn't get a lot of access and they didn't allow a lot of access.

While Imagine In Cornice was a nice attempt to allow us into their space, it was in a different way because in 2006-07...we had much more admission to how they operated.

SVT is THE best band dvd ever made. No others really even come close to it. It was one of the first things that I got when I got into PJ and music, and it even more solidified pj as my favorite band.
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

    Great mind stoneg.

I love the way Mike is so scared of Ed in that DVD, he certainly grew a lot since then.
