Medical Marijuana (anybody?)

Who here has a medical marijuana card? I had major back surgery six weeks ago, and I use mj occassionally. Last night I ate a whole brownie, and an hour later I was really trippin out.
11/6/95, 11/18/97, 7/13/98, 7/14/98, 10/24/00, 10/25/00, 10/28/00, 6/2/03, 6/3/03, 6/5/03, 7/6/06, 7/7/06, 7/9/06, 7/10/06, 7/13/06, 7/15/06, 7/16/06, 7/18/06, 10/21/06, 4/10/08, 4/13/08, 9/30/09, 10/1/09, 10/6/09, 10/7/09, 10/9/09

    What's the process of asking for one? Did you just ask your primary care physician?

    Really jealous of this hole card / dispensary stuff . i live in lame ass Ohio . so i just made my own card and smoke like theirs not tomorrow . #mmot ;)

    wonder if mine from 1982 would work. although its written on a beer box in crayon. ditto on lame ohio :mrgreen:

    Hey bigbadbill. Eating MJ butter or ghee in a brownie or cookie or whatever is way different than smoking. It is almost closer to a trip then a buzz. It will last longer and come in waves. I have found that eating sometimes pushes the digestive system to start the flow again. Just relax. Turn up the PJ and enjoy the MJ!

    As an afterthought, I was reading that certain strains are better for pain than others. So, you might wanna pick up a hightimes or do some research as to which straind is better for which symptoms.

    I live in Altadena, a non-industrial city in Los Angeles County (just north of Pasadena). There's a place in North Hollywood that charges $50 with a coupon from L.A. Weekly to get an offical letter allowing one to purchase Medical Marijuana.

    When u eat THC . it releases a chemical in your body . that makes u feel different them just smoking it . tripping ,hallucinating . :lol::lol:

    I've always been curious about the process. Living in bumblefuck-backass Utah, medicinal marijuana is far off in the future...very far.

    I watched a special on TV about the "industry" in California, and how they have these stops that are essentially just a bar, or lounge where you can come to purchase, and use your medical marijuana. They were selling snacks: Cookies, brownies, cakes, etc. They all looked delicious and I've ever since been very curious as to how the effects of those would be, seeing as they're probably not poorly made like the ones in my kitchen.

    Of course this is not news to you I'm sure, but I'm envious of the capabilities out there.

    Yeah guys, I ate browines a couple years ago and it was a hell of an experience. I was in Myrtle Beach visiting a couple buddies that went to school there, played golf in the morning, ate some browines then went on a casino cruise that night, 7 or 8 hours later we were still really fucked up on the boat. As someone who smoked a lot of pot around that time, it was a much different experience. One of my friends didnt even make it on the curise because he was having trouble.

    yeah it's way different than smoking. It almost seems like it's a different drug all together.

    mm "edibles" is what we call em' theyre the best but definitely a different high.. ive tried cupcakes, brownies, and cookies, and when made right, taste delicious! but its usually after smoking a little, so it could be the munchies :twisted: either way, love it all, a card to get it would be very convenient!

    Last time I ate brownies, I listened to Eddie Vedder and the Walmer High School Choir - Molo sessions and felt like I was tripping. Pretty intense.

    We decriminalized here in Mass, so it's really no problem finding it anyways.

    The doctors really don't know much because not enough research on the benefits has been allowed over the years. I'm sure some are much more qualified from personal experiences than others. Here in Oregon it doesn't seems to be as easy as in Cali and we don't have dispenseries. The patient is responsible to grow their own supply or they can designate a 'careprovider' to grow for them. I know several people with the card and more 'providers'. It's decriminalized here as well but it's still a $500 fine.

    There was one doctor that got investigated for writing a large percentage of perscriptions. When the law first passed he traveled town to town holding clinics. Not sure whatever became of that case though.

    like it a lot and felt the reduction of pain in my body.
    it made me think clearer and gave me energy.
    i cleaned my house and solved math problems while blasting the stereo.
