How do you re-size a picture?

All my pictures are about 4MB and the site only allows your avatar to be 2MB. How do you re-size them?

    I know nothing about this kind of stuff but I do it in photobucket- put your pic there and choose edit to resize and then copy or download to here

    I use VSO Image Resizer. Install > Right click on pic > VSO Image Resizer > choose options > Finish
    It's just as easy
