I've always liked the look of a Toyota Camry Solara. But I never drove one. Do you or your friends own an older one? If so, were there problems (not talking about a sticking accelerator.)

  • I've driven one a few times, nice ride and definatley a good looking car. I worked in a Toyota dealership for 5 years and my sister still does - have never heard of any problems with them.

I have a friend who has one. She has had it for about 3 years i guess.

She seems to like it and i've not heard her complain about it before.

she is not a real close friend though so don't buy the car based on that recomendation alone she might just not bitch to me about everything :D

I've driven one a few times, nice ride and definatley a good looking car. I worked in a Toyota dealership for 5 years and my sister still does - have never heard of any problems with them.

today I looked online and the used ones at dealers were kind of high. i was wondering why ppl got rid of them with under 5K miles on it (can't afford the payment with the bad economy?) that's why i was wondering if there are problems. i posted the same question on another board and a lady said the paint bubbled on her friend's 2006 solara, but it was a reliable car.

My parents had one and it was a good car. They got rid of it and bought an Avalon because my Ma wanted a 4 door and a little more luxury. I drove it a couple times and thought it drove nice. I think the rub is because it's somewhere between a sports car and a family model. Most people want one or the other.
