Could I say that I agree, have it all end
Give in to the heartless soul that you see me as
Put on a fraudulent smile and be on my way

If this is how its supposed to feel
I want no part of it
crossing a line
erasing the past

You say that I am confused
that I am unglued, unscrewed
What if this is all I know
Am I then still wrong

What would make it right
If I were someone else
nicer perhaps
One who has no opinion or a mind of my own
One who agrees, just to stroke your soul
One who lies, just to keep this sliver of hope breathing

Which would you choose

If only you could see now
What I have seen long ago

This glimmer of happiness
is being dissolved with each word, unspoken
