    Been there, done that. I don't think they're gonna open up for Tom Petty, U2, or Rolling Stones anymore. They paid their dues, and then some, and then some more.

    Plus, when Kings Of Leon opened for PJ, KOL didn't open at MSG because they were planning on playing there, and did.

    I don't see PJ playing those shows, but that's just me.

    Can you think of any other bands who announce tours like Pearl Jam? I can't think of any. Seems like most artists do it the normal way....and what I consider to be the most respectful way for their fans. Doesn't get much more assbackwards than it is around here.

    I was at Denver 06. My two kids were the first to fall asleep during Petty, but not long after they were sawing logs, I dozed a bit myself. The excitement level did indeed leave when PJ left the stage.

    I really like Petty too, and want to see his show again, but he decided to skip Denver this time around.

    yeah I remember paying WAY Higher prices for CO-Headlines shows in Milwaukee because it was Petty's farewell tour.

    Rock singers are so full of shit with retirement, don;t know who is worse Brett Farvera or Tom Petty
