Hey guys,
I just started playing in an acoustic band a few weeks ago and we have 15 songs we play up to this point. A few being Porch, Doesn't Remind Me, Helter Skelter, and The Day I Tried to Live. The band consists of a singer, two guitarists, and I'm on bass. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for songs that sound good acoustically. Any help would be appreciated.

  • I love everything off the Alice In Chains Unplugged album, especially because of the bass parts. Mike Inez really shined on that recording.

  • We were talking about doing some Neil at our last practice. I agree with the Alice in Chains unplugged too. I also like the idea of taking really hard rock songs and stripping them down to see how they sound.

a lot of tom petty's stuff is acoustic-based or just sounds kickass on the acoustic. check out his "wildflowers" record....Honey Bee kicks some serious ass.
