I saw that same tour... New York and Los Angeles. L.A. Sports Arena, twice.
That was one of the greatest live shows, ever.

  • I'm too young to have seen Floyd but I saw Waters in 2000 and 2008 and he was fucking awesome. Would LOVE to see Gilmour sometime. Waters' band was tight and the guitarists were great....but there's really only one man I want playing the Time solo.

Crossing my fingers Waters does the Wall tour later this year/2011 like is heavily rumored. It ain't Pink Floyd, but Rog's Dark Side show was amazing, and I'd expect nothing less than that for a Wall show.

David Gilmour's On An Island tour was just about as good as it gets.

hahahahaha - yeah I was/am :) I had Crash make a hoodie out of one of my bootleg t-shirts I bought at the show (seeing how I no longer could wear the t-shirt). It came out great! I'll post a pic of it later.....

Did you buy a t-shirt at the venue? Reason I ask is that my buddy and I were so strapped that we bought bootleg shirts as we had to have enough money to get us home. I've only seen one legitimate Wall t-shirt from the concert......

No. I bought the Program and still have it.
And back then, I would have gotten a Medium because that was the style back then.
I have given away all of my old concert t-shirts... to girls... small girls... because they were too tiny for me to wear. They'd fit me like baby shirts, today. I had some great ones, too. Floyd's 'Animal' tour shirt, Who, Zeppelin, Bowie, Queen, Clash, Blondie, Elvis Costello and a great Police shirt from their first tour, opening for the Clash.

I read they only performed that show 4 times in the states. Is that true? You're even luckier than the other bastard.

Gilmour is awesome, but whatever the song that was the single for his last album was just awful.
