It came in at No. 174 this week, I'm betting that's its last week on the charts barring the release of a third single. A shame too, I had been hoping it would reach "Yield"'s 36 weeks on the chart (it's at 31 weeks currently).
Bear in mind that the album could fall out of the top 200 and then re-enter it later. Both "Yield" and "Riot Act" re-entered the Billboard 200 after having fallen out of it.
update, update...please...I think it re-entered the charts? due to Amongst the Waves single
i think it re-entered 2 weeks ago. But I wasn't because of Amongst the Waves. We'll find out tomorrow if it's back in the top 200. But I doubt it. Their tours barely helps sales. I've noticed this in the past.
Not sure if it's been mentioned on this thread yet, but how is there not a bump in sales the last few weeks because of the tour?

not sure. i wonder how much of an effect that has. seems to me most people going to the shows would already own the cd already? such a small tour too...

Yeah, you're probably right.

by the way--your location is funny as hell. i hated that movie at first (and i am a big will ferrell fan). each time i see it grows on me though--especially the scene at the fucking catalina wine mixer

Thanks dude. Yeah, it never ever gets old for me. Sadly, my maturity level is still stuck in 7th grade.

Even though it's the single, the band only played "Amongst The Waves" at a couple of the recent shows. "Unthought Known" was played at every show.
Pearl Jam is always terrible at doing singles. Other than Just Breathe, (which is just a song to attract chicks IMO) they usually market them terribly or pick bad songs.
"Backspacer" has not re-entered the Billboard 200 but it apparently saw a sales increase last week. For the week ending June 26, 2010, the album is the Greatest Gainer on the Billboard Independent Albums chart (although the sales gain did not translate into a chart gain-- "Backspacer" falls from No. 41 to No. 43 on that chart).

For real? I don't think anything from the last few albums besides World Wide Suicide and I Am Mine could have been radio songs.. They write songs that are generally to complicated for a radio audience.

they chose horrible singles for their self titled release. gone? severed hand? unemployable or even come back would have been better choices. i was so let down when i heard gone on the radio.
but for backspacer i think they've chosen good singles. i'd still like to see them release force of nature.
You heard "Gone" on the radio? Lucky you. I think that song spent one week on the old Modern Rock Tracks chart. You might have heard one of the only spins it got.

i actually heard it a few times here. it's weird because detroit radio stations generally don't play second or third pearl jam singles very often (except just breathe)... but gone was played quite a bit. it was in a span of less than a month, maybe even weeks, though.

Not that I'm going to run off and subscribe personally but do you know approximately what a subscription costs?
Up here so high I start to shake, Up here so high the sky I scrape, I've no fear but for falling down, So look out below I am falling now, Falling down,...not staying down, Could’ve held me up, rather tear me down, Drown in the river

Haha. Exactly my thoughts.

It is a single. It debuted at #50 this week on Alt songs chart. According to allaccess.com, it's getting a bunch of adds and moving up fairly quickly.

It has also gotten 22 Adds to radio thus far.
It will continue to rise.

that shows you how out of the loop i've been lately.

thats pretty awesome! where can i verify pearl jam sales figures? why isn't this information readily available to the public?
