I'm originally form right outside of Scranton and I have to ask, WHO THE HELL IS HEARING 'SCRANTON'?? I'm not much up on this tour talk because I'm still basking in the awesomeness of the Philly shows. But let me say, that there is NO WAY IN HELL that Pearl Jam will play Scranton. The arena sits only 9,000 and Montage fits like 18,000 while the arena in Philly sits 20,000 and Camden fits I think nearly 25,000.
I heard they're actually playing the Dunder Mifflin warehouse.

That's what I heard. Opening act: Scrantonicity

I made it to post 100!

SCRANTON?? Really? This is the first thread I saw today, so that's a surprise!!

I hope they get Scrantonicity to open for them!!

Edit... Well shit, that's what I get for not reading page 2. Now I'm the lame-ass making the Scrantonicity joke for the 3rd time...

BUT... I bet I'm the only one who actually owns a Scrantonicity shirt!!! :)

You'd prefer the Post to the Mellon?
unless they play 4 nights at the mellon to close down the legendary home of the three time stanley cup champion penguins then yes, i would prefer the post gazette :)

or better yet, how about they play mr. smalls?!

as a hardcore Penguins fan living in Toronto, I'd drive down for that in a heartbeat...especially if the Pens are in the playoffs at that point...

  • I love how everybody has all these rules about who 'gets' a tour date and who 'deserves' a tour date. What if someone lives in Wyoming; shouldnt they 'get' a date this tour since they havent had one ever? Dont they deserve it?

That specific person does, but it's the amount of fans that deserve it, they can't play a show for 1 good fan.

    State College, PA
Memphis (something smells fishy here), TN
    New Orleans, LA
    Dallas, TX

Looks like a proper tour to me.

4 rumored dates...with 3 of the mentioning the same date...and only 1 announced date "sounds like a proper tour to" you? I sure hope you are right.

Looks like a proper tour to me. I'm forecasting an Alpine Valley date, I'm kinda feeling Cleveland on this and something like Raleigh and Atlanta as far as some other towns that might there obligatory every-5-years-love this time around and a handful of Florida shows. Then Europe, then Australia, then a west coast US leg in the fall. If they tour until the end of May, that still gives them time off before Europe. If this wasn't going to be a proper tour, we wouldn't be hearing things like 'State College' and 'Scranton'. Message me if you got other rumors as I'm trying to piece together a tour projection for my own fiscal planning purposes only.

Correct . . . the Olympics are going on ;-) We will see some additional dates!!!

I'd much, much rather prefer a Star Lake show than Mellon. I don't really like indoor shows, and Mellon just sucks anymore. I've seen Bruce, Clapton and PJ there and thought every time it was a horrible venue.

But, yeah, Pittsburgh and Philly are two completely different areas. DC/Cleveland/Buffalo are all closer to Pittsburgh and Toronto is about just as far...
